What we do
We believe everyone should have a voice.
Founded in 1995 in Oxfordshire, we work with organisations and individuals across the UK to empower people with learning disabilities to express themselves, celebrate their abilities with others, and feel the warmth of music.
We are excited to expand Soundabout’s community without barriers by building collaborative partnerships that spread the magic of music.
How you can help
We design our corporate partnerships with you, ensuring that opportunities suit your business and people. There are many ways we can work together, which include:
· Donations and sponsorship: help to keep our day-to-day operations running as well as our ability to host events and reach new communities.
· Support in-kind: Such as donations of products or event space
· Employee engagement activities: Including fundraising, volunteering, and pro-bono support
Why get involved
Your support will not only enable us to change lives through music, but we believe partnering with us will help you to:
· Energise employees through engagement activities, such as volunteering or fundraising
· Inspire stakeholders through stories of social change and making a difference in your community
· Achieve social responsibility and community ambitions for outreach and impact.
We would love to connect you and your company to the world of music.

Our key collaborations and partnerships are as follows:
Our current partnership is with the SAE Institute (Oxford). Established in 1976, the SAE Institute provides industry focused degrees, diplomas and short courses across six subject areas – Animation, Audio, Film, Games, Music Business and Web Development. These specialist courses are led by experienced and skilled practitioners who deliver an industry backed curriculum. This partnership with SAE Institute is the first of its kind at Soundabout, and we are proud and excited to benefit from the expert advice and support to help develop our musical education programmes.
In 2017, Soundabout partnered with the New Theatre Oxford to help promote music and education throughout the local area. The ‘New Theatre’ as we know it today, has stood and provided entertainment to Oxford and its inhabitants since 1934 thanks to Stanley Dorrill. The successful partnership between Soundabout and New Theatre Oxford raised £2,500, with a signed resonance board from the likes of Bono and Billy Ocean further adding to a successful partnership at auction.
If you are responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility for your organisation – regardless of size – or whether you are simply interested in helping to make a difference to someone else’s life by helping to promote the work of Soundabout, we would love to hear from you!
