Emerging Leaders Graduation: Class of 2024

Soundabout Emerging Leaders Class of 2024 marked their graduation on 20th July. It was a joyful celebration, complete with party games, an awards ceremony, and music performances by the newly graduated Emerging Leaders.

Emerging Leaders is a one-year programme where Learning Disabled people enhance their leadership skills and confidence while preparing to become the music practitioners of the future. The new graduates will now have work experience opportunities within Soundabout, such as leading music sessions, helping at events, and song writing.

The graduation event is a culmination of the Emerging Leaders’ hard work over the year and a chance to reflect on all that they have achieved – from creating signing videos, to producing their own cover of a song, and completing the Trinity Bronze Arts Award. Graduate Emerging Leader Emma (Class of 2023) did a fantastic job of handing out certificates at the event.

The sentiment of the day was summed up by one of the graduates: ‘Once Emerging Leaders, Always Emerging Leaders’.
