Emerging Leaders Release Original Songs
Soundabout’s 2025 cohort of Emerging Leaders started off the first term with a songwriting project where they wrote original music, lyrics and melodies based on a theme of their choice.
The Emerging Leaders recorded all elements of their song from chord structures to FX sounds to lead vocals. We are very excited to share with you the outcome of this songwriting project!
Enjoy listening to ‘Definitely Disco’ written by the Emerging Leaders in our Tuesday Group and ‘Mythical Creature Dance Party’ written by the Emerging Leaders in our Wednesday Group.
Emerging Leaders is a one-year programme where Learning Disabled people (aged 14+) enhance their leadership skills and confidence while preparing to become the music practitioners of the future.
Emerging Leaders meet for weekly online sessions in small groups, where we play games, develop skills and make new friends.
