Emerging Leaders Release Radio Shows

As the 2025 Soundabout Emerging Leaders cohorts approach their Graduation, we’re delighted to share their radio shows! The two Emerging Leaders groups have released the radio shows as part of their year long leadership course. In the radio shows, Emerging Leaders share facts about their favourite artists. They researched their chosen artists, prepared the content for the radio shows, created the jingles and recorded everything themselves.

The radio shows are a fabulous example of the creativity of the Emerging Leaders and are well worth a listen!

Soundabout’s Emerging and Graduate Emerging Leaders programme supports Learning Disabled young people to learn musical leadership skills! Through accredited training, hands-on placements, and young person-led design, it creates opportunities and employment pathways in a sector where representation is lacking. With 26 Graduates to date and 10 current Emerging Leaders, the programme is redefining leadership and accessibility in music, proving that Learning Disabled young people can lead and shape the future of inclusive creative practice.

Soundabout’s Emerging Leaders and Graduate Emerging Leaders programme won ‘Outstanding Project Award’ at the 2025 Youth Music Awards.
