Soundabout Secures Garfield Weston Foundation Grant
We’re delighted to share some wonderful news: Soundabout has been awarded a two-year grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation towards our core day-to-day costs.
Why Core Funding Matters
Funding for the day-to-day running of a charity can be incredibly difficult to secure, yet it is vital in enabling organisations like Soundabout to continue our work.
Core funding supports the essential people, resources and activities that sit behind everything we do. It helps make possible every music session, choir rehearsal, performance and moment of musical connection we create alongside the people we support.
That’s why this two-year grant is such important news for Soundabout.
Supporting Inclusive Music-making
Thanks to this support from the Garfield Weston Foundation, we can continue providing life-changing musical opportunities for Learning Disabled children, young people, and adults with complex support needs, while continuing to build greater stability for our work in the years ahead.
At Soundabout, we believe that everyone should be able to access and experience music. Funding like this gives us the strong foundations we need to keep turning that belief into a reality.
Thank you to the Garfield Weston Foundation
The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded grant-maker supporting charities across a wide variety of sectors throughout the UK that make a positive difference within their communities.
We are incredibly grateful to the Foundation for recognising the importance of core funding and placing its trust in Soundabout and our work.
This support will help us build a stronger and more sustainable future for Soundabout, and continue creating meaningful musical experiences alongside the amazing people and families that we work with.
Thank you to the Garfield Weston Foundation.
