Introducing Our New Administrator, Zoe Feeney

Hello!

I’m Zoë, the new Administrator at Soundabout. You might have seen me during some of our Festival sessions having a great time, dancing away!

I come from a creative family and grew up in Manchester, then moved around the country for my husband’s job, before settling in Dorset with our ever-growing gang of pets. I trained and worked as a dancer and dance teacher for many years, until I went back to university to study English and Creative Writing. I then worked as a writer and school Librarian for over ten years, so I’m very geeky when it comes to organisation and stationery!

Music has always been a huge part of my life. My family all play instruments – even my two-year-old on her Xylophone – and we are big fans of an impromptu boogie. I have three children, and my eldest has disabilities with some complex needs. We watched some of Soundabout’s morning songs online during lockdown when he was little, and it was amazing to watch the transformative power of music in action. Seeing how music has changed the way he interacts with the world has been magical, and that’s what inspired me to apply for this role with Soundabout.

I’m so pleased to have joined the team, and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all better.
