Making Music Together with National Children’s Choir of Great Britain

On Thursday 9 April, Soundabout took part in an inspiring joint workshop day with the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain (NCCGB).

The day began with a lively morning workshop, where Soundabout participants and members of NCCGB’s Blue Choir came together to share and learn new songs. Highlights included a joyful Greatest Showman singalong and Soundabout’s much‑loved Hello and Goodbye songs, helping everyone to connect and feel part of the group.

New for 2026, the day also featured an afternoon workshop led by Soundabout music practitioners Will and Emily. This additional session shared Soundabout’s person‑centred approach to accessible, interactive, and creative music‑making, alongside Soundabout participants and around thirty NCCGB young people and music leaders.

Held at Bromsgrove School, this collaboration is now in its third year. The day was filled with shared music and sounds, smiles and laughter, movement and dancing, with plenty of new friendships forming along the way. Thank you to NCCGB for another incredible day of musical collaboration, we truly value this time spent creating and learning together.
