Choirs Come Together to Perform Shine a Light
We are so excited for the official public release of our new song ‘Shine a Light’ on Friday 6th December at 10am.
This is part of our Sparkle With Soundabout Campaign, which this year is all about Light. We want to shine a light on how music and sound can transform the lives of Learning Disabled people by creating opportunities where we can all dazzle.
The song was written by the fantastic Emerging Leaders (Learning Disabled young people) at Soundabout.
Professional, amateur and school choirs from across the country joined the Soundabout Choirs to perform and record the song for our video release. We’re delighted feature choirs such as the London Symphony Chorus and Cantoras, as well as a few famous faces including Alan Titchmarsh, Kate Nash, and Lost Voice Guy.
Keep your eyes on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X) on Friday morning for this exciting world premiere.

This will be the first time the London Symphony Chorus have recorded a piece by a Learning Disabled composer.
This week, your donation to Soundabout can have double the impact, thanks to match funding by our supporters at Fleet Caravan. Donate today to Shine a Light Twice as Bright. Together, we can support Learning Disabled children and adults with complex support needs to access the incredible social, physical, and mental health benefits of music making.
