Staff Wellbeing and Reflection Day
On Thursday 27th March 2025, the Soundabout Staff, Practitioners, and Trustees spent a whole day together in the beautiful and calming surroundings of The Abbey in Sutton Courtenay in Oxfordshire.
As a national organisation our team is spread across the UK and so we were delighted to have the opportunity to come together in-person thanks to the generous support of Youth Music. We had team members travelling from Devon all the way up to Manchester and even Scotland (with Wales represented in there too)!
The purpose of the day was to look into wellbeing and reflective practice, as they are both essential for delivering high quality Soundabout services and also looking after ourselves!
We also got to hear from Soundabout families, who kindly recorded special messages for the team offering feedback and motivation.
In amongst practice sharing, future planning, and reflection, there was time for the team to connect with each other over food and walks in the grounds and local area. We ended the day with a Sound Bath, enabling the team to experience the benefits of sound when it’s often them providing the experiences! Huge thanks to Jo for organising the day, along with Isabel and other colleagues who worked hard to make it happen!
