Summer Sounds of our Choirs

Soundabout Choirs have been having a jam-packed, fun-filled summer so far.

The summer kicked off with the first South-West Big Get Together, Sing in Nature, at Westonbirt Arboretum on 1st May. This was soon followed by over 50 choir members singing, playing, moving, and laughing their hearts out at the West Midlands Big Get Together on 20 June.

As well as all of our regular in-person and online meet-ups continuing around the UK, our Gloucestershire Choir have also performed as part of Celebrate St Nicks in Gloucester, and our Oxford Choir performed in the atrium of the brand-new Schwarzman Centre for Humanities as part of the all-day celebration Oxford Sings.

In addition, Soundabout choirs have released not one but two new songs this summer.

Nature is Home was written by Soundabout Graduate Emerging Leader Eva, and Festival was written jointly by a group of Soundabout Graduate Emerging Leaders. Both songs were performed by members of Soundabout Choirs, and Soundabout Associate choirs, from across the UK, alongside their Choir Leaders, families, and carers.

You can watch, or re-watch, both songs below.
