Feel The Sounds: Soundabout Team Day

Last month, members of the Soundabout team had the valuable opportunity to meet in person in London. As a remote organisation with staff based across the UK, these moments of connection are especially meaningful.

Alongside team reflection and discussion, we visited Feel The Sounds, an inspiring exhibition of multi-sensory installations spread across the Barbican in London, from their car parks to the Lakeside Terrace. The immersive experience invites visitors to “imagine experiencing sound for the very first time,” challenging perceptions and encouraging a reimagining of what sound can be.

The exhibition, which continues throughout August, sparked thoughtful conversations and creative ideas among the team, prompting us to reflect on ourselves as “sonic beings” all the way home.

The visit offered a wealth of inspiration as we continue to gather ideas and look ahead to Soundabout’s 30th anniversary in 2027. We look forward to sharing more with you as our plans take shape.
