Youth Music Awards

The West Midlands Inclusive Choir was shortlisted for ‘Outstanding Project’ at the Youth Music Awards 2022. The Youth Music Awards celebrates the most forward-thinking projects and people making, learning and earning in music.  They are open to anyone who has been directly funded via the NextGen Fund, or has taken part in a Youth Music funded project since January 2017. From artists and entrepreneurs to grassroots projects and young leaders, the event recognises an exciting range of trailblazers from across the scene.

The third annual Youth Music Awards, in association with Hal Leonard Europe, took place on Wednesday 19 Oct 2022 at Troxy, London. Co-choir Leader Mariana Rosas, and Graduate Emerging Leader Anna represented the choir at the event. Mariana and Anna were joined by current CEO Holly Radford-James, ex-CEO Clare Cook, MAC Makes Music Co-ordinator Jen Loffman, and Anna’s mother Nikki.

The choir was a shortlisted nominee and was a finalist among 3 other nominees. The ‘Outstanding Project’ award was for a Youth Music funded project that pushes the boundaries to promote inclusive music making so that every young person has the chance to change their life through music. The award was sponsored by Levi’s.

The choir did incredibly well to make be shortlisted among many nominations. We’d like to thank Youth Music for the opportunity. Big well done to Girl Grind UK who won the award. For more information about the winners click here.
